The 7th Polish Congress of Genetics
Wroclaw, September 21–24, 2026

Time left until the Congress:

INVITATION

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The 7th Polish Congress of Genetics will take place on 21–24 September 2026 in Wroclaw, Poland – in the Centre for Teaching and Research at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Pl. Grunwaldzki 24.

As in previous years, the scientific programme will include sessions devoted to human, molecular, plant, animal and microorganism genetics, as well as forensic genetics. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a bioinformatics session is also planned.

An important aspect of such scientific events is the exchange of experiences, so the Scientific Committee is planning to invite lecturers from Poland and abroad representing all fields of science related to genetics to participate in the Congress. This will give participants the chance to attend lectures by distinguished experts in the field and exchange ideas with them. The Congress will also provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to present their own work and establish new scientific contacts.

We cordially invite you to actively participate in the Congress.
See you in Wrocław!

On behalf of the Wroclaw Branch of the Polish Genetics Society

Krzysztof Jakub Pawlik, PhD, Assoc. Prof.

Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy

Chair of the Wroclaw Branch of the Polish Genetic Society

Bioinformatics Workshops during the 7th PKG

📅 Part I: 21 September 2026 (9:00 am – 1:30 pm)
📅 Part II: 23 September 2026 (11:00 am – 1:00 pm)

We invite you to take part in the bioinformatics workshops organised during the 7th Polish Genetics Congress in Wrocław. The session, led by bioinformaticians from Analityk / Analityk Genetyka and Illumina, aims to present the capabilities of the BaseSpace Sequence Hub (Illumina) platform and is primarily aimed at those who have not previously had experience with this environment.

During the workshop, participants will be introduced to the data analysis process, with a particular focus on the DRAGEN Enrichment application for developing enriched panels. The programme includes both a theoretical and a practical component, during which participants will be able to carry out secondary analysis on demonstration data themselves. In addition, the possibilities of using Illumina software to interpret the results obtained will be discussed. A detailed agenda will be provided upon registration for the workshop.

⚠️ Organizational Information: The workshop is intended exclusively for participants registered for the Genetics Congress. Due to the limited number of places, the organisers reserve the right to accept a maximum of one person from each laboratory to ensure that representatives from as many centres as possible can participate.
